Manganese Carbonate, technical

Manganese(II)-carbonate

MnCO3

Quality

We supply technical manganese carbonate with a manganese content (Mn) of approx. 44%.

It is also available as ultra-fine variant with an average grain size of approx. 2µm.

Please also note our fertilizer quality.

Description

Manganese carbonate is mostly pink to light brown and odorless. In nature, manganese carbonate also occurs as the mineral rhodochrosite. It is basically insoluble in water and generally readily convertible to other manganese compounds.

Our customers are found, among others, in the field of:

  • manganese phosphating or tri-cation phosphating (e.g. according to DIN EN ISO 9717),
  • sliding phosphating (e.g. for cold forming),
  • fertilizer industry,
  • production of soft ferrites and other manganese compounds,
  • dyeing of ceramics (purple to violet),
  • battery production (cathodes for lithium-ion batteries).

Packaging

  • Multi-layer paper / PE bags with 25 kg net on pallets of 1,000 kg net, wrapped with stretch film.
  • Bags printed and labeled with manufacturer's logo.

  • The ultra-fine version in 250 lbs (approx. 113 kg) cardboard drums on pallets of 1,000 lbs (approx. 454 kg)

Storage

  • In closed storage rooms, a temperature of 20 ° C and ± 80% relative humidity, the manufacturer recommends a maximum storage period of 6 months. (In original sealed packaging.)

  • Manganese carbonate is subject to a continuous and light-affected oxidation. Depending on the storage conditions, the proportion of manganese dioxide (MnO2) increases over time and, depending on the application, the solubility is impaired.

Availability

Generally, manganese carbonate is available from stock.
