Iron(III)nitrate or ferric nitrate with iron content of about 9.3% to 9.7%. The content of Fe(NO3)3 is about 40.3% to 42%.
Special qualities are available, e.g. with 8.5% to 9% iron.
Traditionally, iron nitrate has been used for tanning leather, but also for pickling cotton, as well as for dyeing silk.
