In nature, cobalt sulfate heptahydrate can be rarely found as the mineral Biebierit. The brick-red, hygroscopic powder is mostly made of elemental cobalt or cobalt oxides using sulfuric acid.
Cobalt sulfate is considered a carcinogen and is listed in the REACH Candidate List of SVHCs.
Among other things, it finds its uses e.g. as a trace element in the aquarium (water treatment) and the surface treatment (electroplating).
In different grades with a purity of ca. 95% or 98.5% available.
25 kg bags, others on request.
Keep under lock or accessible only for authorized persons. Keep container tightly closed.
